One misconception about window films is that once installed any area covered is completely invincible. Scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof. In its simplest form, window film is composed of a polyester substrate to which a scratch-resistant coating is applied on one side that increases a film’s resistance to normal wear and tear. We do this by using specialized machines and polishing compounds to slowly remove microscopic layers of clear coat until the surface is smooth again. Once completed, you car will no longer have swirl marks, most scratches will be minimized or gone completely and removal of any other clear coat imperfections that are visible to the naked eye. We highly recommend sealing or coating your car’s paint after this process to help maintain and preserve the paint for a longer period of time.
